This Privacy Policy explains how CompareXY collects, uses, and shares information when you use comparexy.ai and the CompareXY mobile app. The Service is operated by Vanessa Destaing Robine, an individual based in the United States.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple identifier and, if you share it, your name and email. If you use Hide My Email, we receive a relay address.
- Communications: if you email hello@comparexy.ai, we receive your message and email address.
- Usage data: comparisons generated, search queries, features used, timestamps.
- Device data: device type, OS, app version, IP address.
- Cookies: the Site may use cookies for operation and preferences.
- Affiliate data: when you click an affiliate link and purchase, the network may share aggregated conversion data with us. We never receive your payment details.
2. How we use information
To operate and improve the Service, generate AI comparisons, authenticate you, communicate with you, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Your queries are processed by OpenAI through its API. Under OpenAI API terms, content submitted via the API is not used to train OpenAI models.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share with:
- Service providers: Supabase for database and auth, Apple for Sign In, OpenAI for AI, hosting and analytics.
- Affiliate networks: when you click affiliate links.
- Legal requirements: subpoenas, court orders.
- Business transfers: mergers or acquisitions, with notice.
4. Where your information is stored
The Service is operated from the United States. Information is stored on Supabase servers primarily in the United States. If you access from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
5. Data retention
We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless required to retain it by law.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access, update, or delete your account by emailing us.
- Opt out of communications via unsubscribe links.
- Use Apple Hide My Email to keep your real address private.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws like CCPA: right to know, delete, correct, and not be discriminated against. Email us to exercise these.
7. Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have, we delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No system is perfectly secure.

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date.
